Learn To Design the MS Access Database
The Microsoft Access has been created to help the people in storing all the information that they want and later on retrieve the information. It allows you to store all sorts of the information. In case you possess some data that may be typed or measured, there are good chances that the Access can be of great help to you.
The Microsoft Access tends to store the information in the database. The database is actually the building block of the MS Access. We must first try to learn what we mean by Database and then proceed to the Microsoft Access Database Design. The name itself is pretty descriptive and tells about the function. The term database consists of 2 parts ‘data’ and ‘base’. The term data indicates the place where the data can be stored. The data can be almost anything like a record of the employees, sales, salaries or anything else for that matter.
The term base implies to the fact that it forms the basic building block that most of the other features in the MS Access use for functioning. When the database is properly created, it can be really helpful in the creation of the reports. It allows you to make the reports related to the data, custom charts that can help you to display the values in the data and also allow you to create the queries.
The database is not that simple as well. It is a bit complicated than what we might perceive. In order to design a database for any data, you first have to make a table. Without making the table the data can not be entered in the database. The table is a part of the database and it is in these tables that you tend to out in your data.
One database is generally sufficient for a single project. The following steps can be followed in order to create the database in the Access according to your requirement:
1. First of all, start the Access.
2. From the menu that now appears, select File and then New.
3. The bar stating the “New File” will appear on the right hand side on the screen.
4. Left click on the option that says “Blank database”. It will then ask you name the database.
5. Name the file and click on the Create button.
6. Access Database interface will now be displayed.
